york. what wear figuring out if, if you have two quarterbacks, it is a good problem to v it is a good problem to have that the redskin have this week. we are talking about kirk cuss ipse who came out on sunday. i guess sensational might be strong but he was really good. this is the big connection to leonard hankerson. 32 # yards. that is the second most of any redskin rookie in the history of the redskins. the most by any redskins quarterback since rex grossman did it back in 2010. so we kind of hinted around it yesterday. do you let him go one more week and rest rg iii another week as you get ready for the eagles. here what is the head coach had to say about it. >> we're going to play robert when he is 100%. when that ligament is fine and the doctors feel that there is
5:54am
no chance for injury, that he can go out there and perform at the level in a game situation without injury, we're going to go with our starter. >> there is some wiggle room there when you listen because that means the doctor has to clear him and it doesn't matter how good he looks in practice, doesn't matter how badly rg iii wants to get back out there in the field so we'll find that out as the week progresses. but you know how this works. >> this is some tricky area here. >> you can say hold him back one more week and get cousins out there. i can't see a scenario where he with not be ready for dallas in a week and a half from now or whatever it is. but certainly, there could be a gray area come sunday against philadelphia. you don't want him to come out there and be rusty. >> i don't worry about rust with that kid. >> this is the knee we're talking about. >> cousin wasn't rusty and he
5:55am
sat on the bench all year. >> wisdom is talking out of both sides. >> rusty. >> that is what i do. >> we have lorenzo alexander coming up income hour. always good to talk to zo. he suffered this stinger. he calls himself the one-man gang. we want to make sure our guy is okay come sunday for philadelphia as well. it is a violent sport. >> it is becoming a tradition to talk to lorenzo. >> they win, we have zo on. >> this isn't a rookie that wear talking about here. he had four interceptions. why rex ripe feels the need for

force feed this guy. i don'tened it. it has killed their season. they were officially eliminate from the playoff picture last night. a lot of questions around the league. i was talking about this yesterday. that is why you might have value for kirk cousins when you look around the league when teams just don't have quarterbacks. we are hoping to have a point guard in d.c. this is john wall out there shooting some jumpers. the left knee is still an issue. the original progress noise is was for one no. that month is up. we asked john wall will you be back and when? >> i'm not thinking like that. hopefully, time i have been taking off and the treatment of a been getting is helping me get better. >> i don't like the sound of that. when you hear if you got to miss the whole season you have to, i don't want to, you month might have to. >> we just don't know.
5:57am
we were hoping he would be back by now. >> they're 3-18. you need all the help you can get. >> i hop but why bother at this point? >> you might be right there. >> you, it dave. gas price are going down and could go even lower. >> all right. >> coming up next in business beat. beat. first, it is time to say hello and good morning to our facebook fan of the date. it is karen lee valley. she says she has been a fox 5 fan for 30 years. my goodness. thank you. and she has been waiting for her chaps to be fan. the day. you deserve -- for her chance to be fan of the day. you deserve this. >> for your chance to be tomorrow's fan of the day, post a comment under her picture on our facebook page. we'll be right back.
